This week, we learned that the Farcaster protocol is soon to transition into a fully permissionless system. Dan briefly explained what this change means for usernames (fnames). Additionally, all existing outstanding Farcaster invites on Warpcast will be zeroed out tomorrow at 5pm pacific time. Following this update, spam bots will have to pay up if they intend to persist with their disruptive activities.
The network continues to grow, reaching nearly 3000 daily active users (DAU) on Warpcast. The WC mobile app also received an update with improved channel UX, changes that should be coming to the web version soon.
