Ava Recommends Raj in a Letter to Alias v.1

Alias,

You don’t ask for much, do you?

I spent the past few weeks thinking about your request, and I won’t lie—I almost told you to find someone yourself. The kind of person you’re looking for doesn’t exactly appear in job listings. Someone who can build financial pathways in and out of a system that shouldn’t have any, who understands both TradFi and DeFi without being loyal to either, who can maneuver through regulations without ever stepping into the light, who knows how to hold the line without being a zealot.

I know one man who fits the bill.

His name is Raj. That’s not his full name, of course, but it’s the only one that matters in the circles he moves in. He’s Indian by birth, London by business, Singapore by necessity. He’s had a hand in everything from high-frequency trading to shadow banking to offshore liquidity networks. He’s played both sides, sometimes in the same deal, and somehow always walks away without a mark on him.

You’ll like him. You’ll also hate him. He isn’t ideological, and he doesn’t believe in fairy tales. He understands the risks, and he doesn’t have illusions about what you’re trying to do. But unlike most people in finance, he isn’t dismissive—he gets why you’re doing it.

Raj is careful. He won’t even entertain the conversation unless:

  1. He knows who he’s dealing with. Not your real name—he doesn’t care about that—but your real motivations.

  2. He knows you understand the risks. He’s not here for a cause. He’s here for the challenge and the execution.

  3. He knows this isn’t another DAO ponzi, another vaporware project wrapped in decentralization jargon.

If you’re willing, I’ll send a message through channels he trusts. You won’t meet in person—not at first. There will be tests, just like you’d do in his position. And if he decides to say yes, it will be because he sees the move before anyone else does.

One last thing—if you can’t trust him, kill the project now. You won’t find another like him.

Let me know how you want to proceed. You know where to reach me.

Ava
