Why I made PolyInnovator Gaming SEPARATE from PolyInnovator

An insight into the reasons for establishing PolyInnovator Gaming as a separate entity from PolyInnovator LLC.

Introduction

I've always pursued my content in the idea of "phases", which are the "main focus of the time period". Meaning how modular education was my first phase, interviews being the next, and swimming after. While I still consider the swimming to be my main phase right now, there were a couple more that needed to be worked on.

One of those being Gaming, as since it was something I did regularly for decompression. It was viable to turn into a side series. However it seemed that posting gaming content on the main feed that I had on YouTube, or even on my Instagram. It seemed too out of place, even for a polymathic personal brand.

The Vision of PolyInnovator

This is the vision of innovation, making a change, and exploring the realms of polymathy. With that in mind, while gaming is a part of my life, and PolyInnovator is MY personal brand or life. It just didn't fit in the context of a content channel. While it is a part of the ecosystem of content I create, it doesn't have to be on the same channel.

That was something it took a while for me to fully accept.

Birth of PolyInnovator Gaming

The idea of the channel is that of gaming as a whole, and so not just one particular game or style of content. Since I'd be taking a generalist-like approach to my gaming content from the get go. It made even more sense to make it into a separate channel.

Rather than a separate series.

This is because the main PolyInnovator channel is already divergent enough with the various types of content on there. In addition, the various types of content I'd make for gaming, would be pretty divergent on their own channel. Making it already different than most gaming channels anyways. Having two similar polymathic channels, but with different niches makes total sense.

Deciding to Separate

I always saw the YT channel or podcast feed as sources of PolyInnovator. Regardless of the niche of the content. It was more of the source, than the topic itself.

Although between search engine optimization, and just organization of the information architecture of the content ecosystem. It makes more sense to formulate different, but related trees.

Conclusion

My issue does arise when it comes to time allocation, as this year I haven't been able to allocate much time to this endeavor. Thus the channel hasn't grown, and I haven't posted a full video in quite some time. It is frustrating, although I am hoping now that I have a more planned out system in Capacities.io, then things will be better!
