This week was once again focused mostly on bug fixes. One user on Discord requested an improvement to the way new communities are created so we made that change too.
Features:
When creating new communities, users can now choose not to have their existing subscribers be automatically added to the new community. Especially important for users with many subscribers! We'll have more community management features coming soon.
Improvements:
Improved the "vs Mirror/Substack/Medium" pages on mobile.
Higher quality share image, when sharing posts to social media.
Fixed several bugs with membership cards that were causing invisible text for some publication themes on some pages. Also fixed a bug in which the card would flash several times when it first loads, and added a loading indicator.
Fixed an issue in which team members on shared publications couldn’t send themselves test custom blog emails.
No longer showing post editing buttons before the post has loaded in the editor.
Added in-line login form to subscription modal. Now existing users (but who are logged out) can login and subscribe straight from the subscription modal, without having to go to a separate screen and then go back to the publication. This is especially helpful with custom domains where a new user who might be logged in on paragraph.xyz would initially be logged out on the custom domain.
Fixed a bug in which draft badge was getting erroneously added to Paragraph Tutorial posts right after account creation, making it seem like there's a change there that there isn't and possibly leading to confusion.
Fixed link handling in the editor for
