Solana's upcoming crypto phone, Chapter 2, has already garnered significant attention with an impressive 60,000 preorders in less than three weeks, according to a spokesperson. Anatoly Yakovenko, the co-founder and CEO of Solana Labs, expressed excitement about the overwhelming response, noting that the announcement of Chapter 2 has resulted in the formation of a dedicated user community. This successor to Solana Mobile Saga, introduced on Jan. 16, offers a more affordable entry point at $450, providing users with a physical phone integrated with crypto-supporting software. Shipping is slated to commence in 2025, following the success of the initial release, Solana Mobile Saga, which initially sold for $1,000 before being reduced to $599 and ultimately selling out in the U.S. on Dec. 15, 2023, as reported by The Block.
