Looking back on 2024
Regens Unite looks back with gratitude on an incredible year filled with dynamic events, meaningful conversations, and the forging of new connections. Once again, we rolled up our sleeves and dedicated ourselves to nurturing the growth of the regenerative movement, contributing in every way possible to support its flourishing. Hereβs to continuing this vital work together!
π± hosted 6 events across Europe, South America and Southeast Asia
π± reached over 1300 participants through in-person connections and community calls
π± launched the Commons Hub Brussels, a physical community space hub in the capital of Europe
π± created an IRL regen economy experience with NFC wristbands, issuing 7823 $RegenBxl tokens

Regens Unite London - March 2024
In March, Regens Unite London 2024 gathered technologists, artists, healers, and environmentalists to forge connections and inspire transformative ideas.
Hosted at Space4, a home for digital cooperatives, the event fostered collaboration and a shared commitment to a regenerative future through open dialogue and creativity.
π§π· Regen Meetup @ EthSamba - Rio de Janeiro - 23 March
In March, we hosted a Regen Meetup at the vibrant Fabulosa Lab maker space, uniting regenerative thinkers from diverse organizations like AgroforestDAO, GnarsDAO, and Gitcoin. Using Open Space technology, we explored communication strategies for onboarding and supporting regen communities, innovative funding mechanisms for regenerative projects, and ways to harmonize human activity with nature through agroforestry, waste management, and carbon credits.
Amid deep conversations, we shared successes, challenges, and laughter, forging connections rooted in a shared vision for a regenerative future. This inspiring gathering marks the beginning of many more regen meetups in Rio. π±β¨
Honor the Earth Festival Amsterdam - 20-21 April
In April, the Honor the Earth festival brought together change makers to co-create an inclusive, regenerative future.
Featuring Indigenous wisdom, climate action, and community-building, the event showcased how collaboration can transform challenges into opportunities for a just society. In partnership with 7 Billion Presidents, Her Many Voices and Regens Unite.
π§πͺ Regen Village - July 2024
In July, the Regen Village transformed a stunning venue in Brussels into a weeklong regenerative basecamp for innovators and changemakers. Running alongside EthCC From July 8th to 12th, this dynamic experience included co-working, panels, workshops, and community experiments, fostering deeper connections and showcasing crypto and frontier tech as tools for regeneration.

The event culminated in an unforgettable afterparty, celebrating the efforts of regens, innovators, and community builders. Spearheaded by Regens Unite, the Regen Village laid the foundation for the Commons Hub Brusselsβa permanent space for collaboration and co-creation in the heart of Europe.

The space became a vibrant hub for collaboration, education, and exploration of regenerative work. Local initiatives from Thailand and Southeast Asia took center stage, bridging communities and inspiring newcomers to the movement. New to Web3? Start Here - Bangkok Edition
Regens Unite was honored to be a partner in the first edition of New to Web3? Start Here, a practical blockchain onboarding experience for the local Thai community in Bangkok.
This one-day event included panels, games, a wallet setup workshop, and a garden of booths for attendees to learn how to complete their first transaction, mint an NFT, learn about regenerative communities in Web3, and more! Other partners included Harpie, Bankless Academy, ETHDublin, and Pizza DAO.

How to support our next steps
This year, we're intentionally growing the regenerative movement by:
π supporting global organizers to host their own events and fund local spaces
π designing a community platform for discovery and cross-collaboration
π creating a short film to share the impact of the "regen" meme
π hosting our own events around the world - stayed tuned for more updates soon!
Our work is still largely volunteer-driven and supported by grants. Weβre now raising funds to hire part-time talent so that we can move faster on our platform development and relieve some of the bottlenecks in our small team.
