For the second week in a row, we have an extremely digestible episode for any user of technology - not just those in web3.

We start by taking it all the way back to the early days of the internet. Dan discusses some of the primitives on which the internet was originally built, and he subsequently opines about how we got derailed from that original vision and landed where we are today with centralized behemoths running a show that doesnโ€™t prioritize or give agency to users.

We then shift into a conversation about sufficient decentralization, why Dan believes that should be our north star, and how he has applied the concept to his own project, Farcaster. Dan takes us through the journey of Farcaster and explains some of the key differences between Farcaster and similarly decentralized social protocols.

Finally, we wrap up with some questions from the community, and Dan shares his thoughts on what the future of social could look like.
