On this episode of Rehash, we speak with Thomas Scaria, co-founder and CEO of one of our sponsors this season, Lore, about the intersection of the crypto economy and the creator economy, why now is not the time to dismiss consumer crypto, and social experiences that can only be enabled by crypto.
As you’ve probably heard me say in past episodes, Lore is the co-ownership platform where you can seamlessly spin up a shared wallet, pool resources, coordinate group activity, etc which all probably sounds a bit vague and abstract.
That’s why I’m so glad we have an entire episode to hear more about some of the use cases Lore enables as well as some of the thinking that inspired Thomas to create Lore.
As we get deeper into our conversation about where the crypto economy meets the creator economy, Thomas weaves in concepts around gaming and financialization into our conversation around creators - topics you don’t usually hear talked about in the same sentence. It really just goes to show how interconnected all of these topics are and how multidisciplinary the web3 space has become.
We also dive into a conversation around consumer crypto, an area that has become somewhat neglected and almost dismissed by investors during the bear market. Having been actively involved in the consumer crypto space since 2018, Thomas brings an insightful and fresh perspective on why now is not the time to dismiss consumer crypto but rather to embrace it from a particular lens.
Thomas does a great job in this episode of illustrating concepts he discusses with real life examples, so you’ll find a pretty long list of projects in the links section below.
