ETH Denver 2023 Recap


Another standard crypto event. Lots of parties, and a few great moments/interactions with interesting people building things.

My perspective is definitely a bit skewed as I stayed with 60+ others in a builder house sponsored by EduDAO. Got to talk to amazing builders from all around the world working throughout the night on their companies and hackathon projects.

My takeaways:

  • shared security, zero-knowledge are the dominant narratives

  • everybody is building "infrastructure"

  • the main event is a formality -- the side events are where it's at

  • everybody knows what EigenLayer is now

  • Aptos and Sui have a ton of money, but there seem to be very few Move devs (at least that attended their events)
