There are many existing virtual meeting platforms, including Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and many more. You might be wondering what makes Pod X different from them. Say less and let's explore it together.
What is PodX?
PodX is a virtual meeting platform built on-chain with innovative functionalities to improve engagement and record-keeping. This Dapp allows users to host and record sessions, earn Proof of Attendance (POAP), and tip easily.. and the tipping isn't limited to the host but to everyone in an active virtual meeting using Pod X.
Features of PodX
Create or Join Audio/Video Session
Getting tipped made easier: imagine winning a giveaway while you're on a call. Pod X gives the host the power to award you your prize instantly without having to deal with the stress of identifying the real winner. The feature stood out for me because it can act as an agent of increasing engagement and encouraging participation in a virtual session.
Bugs Encountered and What Could Be Done
While creating a session, I find it hard to select an accurate time. The time section colour should be changed to a bright colour, i.e., white, to make it readable and also make selecting time more seamless, not having to navigate between two different boxes.
I couldn't join a session because I do not have a Pod X account. There should be a room to accommodate people who want to join a session anonymously without having to create an account.
Signing up takes too long and could be improved with a one-tap sign feature.
Apart from the authentication hassle that an attendee faces while trying to join a session, it takes too long to load. I think it should be optimized to load faster.
Attendees can't join an event without adding a hyphen to the session code.
I tried tipping even though I have no crypto in my wallet but the error message was supposed to say "insufficient funds or low balance or sort," but instead it said, "Something Went Wrong."
I couldn't copy my wallet address.
My Features Suggestions
Videos are mostly encouraged to be turned on during virtual events to encourage participation, so the host should have only to restrict audio and also a central
During the event, the host should have access to the session settings that give them the ability to modify changes at once, i.e., review people who can join the session, mute all participants, etc.
A breakout room where events can be split into different sessions without having to log out or disturb other attendees, i.e., a networking session between five attendees in different rooms.
An option to record a session.
PodX is built on-chain to encourage the adoption of Web3, and its innovative features prove how it can help creators and professionals improve their meeting experience.
