Skin in the Game: Moxie's Bold Play on Farcaster

Farcaster's Next Big Thing or a Cautionary Crypto Tale?

Moxie's making waves on Farcaster, learning from Degen and Alfren's playbooks. It's shaking things up with a fresh token model that gets everyone on the same page - creators, fans, and even Farcaster itself. Smart move, considering Farcaster's rn is one of the few hot tickets in a crypto scene that's running low on new ideas.

This setup's got everyone with skin in the game, not just the creators. They're also the first to give Farcaster channels a crypto twist - a feature that's been around in lots of Web2 platforms but never used quite like this. I've always thought channels could be a game-changer, and this move might just prove it. Could spark more channel action and even rope in fresh faces to the platform.

Moxie's set to drop on July 25th, with over 50K folks already lined up for the airdrop. Some FUD's brewing, but you can still get in on it. https://warpcast.com/0x17/0x59d7c223

Heads up though, there are a few question marks:

1.We don't know who the early backers are, but they're sitting on 20% of the tokens.

2.Between the team and these shadowy early backers, they're controlling a whopping 40% of the tokens. For a project waving the "community-driven" banner, that's raising some eyebrows.

3.There's some fine print about whether unvested tokens can buy fan tokens. If they can, it could mean 40% of tokens in the hands of VCs and devs, potentially gaming the system. The founder says only 16.67% of team tokens can be used this way, but take that with a grain of salt.

Bottom line: Moxie's stirring up the crypto pot. It could be the next big thing, but don't dive in headfirst. Keep your wits about you and your eyes wide open.
