SonicHood #2: Too Late, Lover.

You finally listened then understood my love language, but it was too late, Lover.

It's strange how you don't take seriously the ones who care for you. You've become accustomed to viewing their love as banal and thinking they'll always be available. You procrastinate learning their love language and assume there's still much time to later shower them with the love you know they deserve.

Here's the shocker: the loving ones eventually wear out and withdraw their love when it's not being reciprocated. This is the moment of reckoning -- you realize you've lost something valuable. Something you used to take for granted.

Desperation sets in.

You start paying attention to their love language and express it as a way to keep them. However, they've become resolute and decided to walk out. Despite your conscious and genuine effort to love them, nothing gives them a change of mind.

Nothing can stop a lover on a mission. Nothing can equally propel a lover with no mission.

The resolution of the lover on a mission is fueled by hope. "Hope" that one day you'll learn their love language and communicate it to them.

The resolution of the lover with no mission is fueled by despair. "Despair" that this is a futile journey, so it's best they leave.

Initially, your selfish self gets surprised at their coldness.

Later on, you learn that the period you decide to take responsibility and communicate their love language is just Too Late.
