The one about the judge and you

Rom 8:33 KJV Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Imagine there's a judge who is smitten with you and has specially chosen you.

Now imagine there's an accusation against you before this judge. It could be about anything... you lied, stole, cheated, etc., it doesn't matter. What matters is that this judge before whom this accusation is brought is one with final and binding authority-- whatever he says stands. Now imagine also that this judge himself is the one showing, proving or declaring that you are innocent.

In such a scenario, you'd simply laugh at the accusation and the accuser.

This scenario is the life of the believer in Christ.

God Himself is the final arbiter of truth, right and wrong. Right and wrong, in other words, the question of righteousness is exclusively dependent on what He says it is.

God Himself is the One who has specially chosen and selected you.

And God Himself is the One who is declaring and regarding you as righteous.

Tell that to your heart next time it wants you to cower or hide in the face of something you've done wrong.

Tell that to the devil or whoever that wants you to cower in the face of accusations.

Refuse to cower in the face of accusation. Refuse to be overwhelmed by guilt. Refuse to hide.

Repent, embrace the everlasting forgiveness in Christ and move on. God Himself is the One declaring that you are righteous.

Observe that the word 'justifieth' in the Greek is a present active participle. This means, because of what Jesus has done, there will never not be a time when you are not righteous in the sight of God.

You are and will ALWAYS be righteous in the sight of God.

I call you blessed.
