Tokyo Vice: An American Reporter on the Police Beat in Japan

Book Report Number Seven

Prompt "Tokyo Vice but in Crayon"

I finished Tokyo Vice and I'm reminded that facts, honesty, and the truth are much stronger than any force bent on the shallower perils of the human condition.

Reporter Jake Adelstein takes the reader into the underbelly of Japanese society. It is rife with exploitation, intimidation, and violence.

I read this book because I enjoyed watching the TV show based on the book on HBO and I wanted more of Japan's capitals neon lights, tense drama, and cutthroat intrigue.

Although this book is not related to the crypto world, Adelstein did write a second book which reported on the Mt.Gox scandal in 2014.
