The Squibbles Animation Progress

What's new?

Hello! We've been so busy behind the scenes writing songs, making 3D animations, storyboarding, re-writing things and experimenting... we forgot to show you!

We've teamed up with Aiden Pilling to help us craft some fabulous lyrics and Jay and Aiden have been writing songs to place in the episodes we're making. Aiden is a fantastic lyricist, has a keen ear for melody and is a fantastic drummer from Burnley in Lancashire, just down the road from Jay!

Here's a little peek into what we've been up to these last few months and we really hope you enjoy how things are coming along.

Here's Colin just hanging around
Here's Colin with a basic placement of a camper and some other scene elements created by Jay in Gravity Sketch in VR - it's not that good but it helped us place a few things.
The scene is improving a little with some lighting but we're not there yet. Colin looks happy though!
An improved camper, lighting and camera depth of field is bringing us closer to a proper scene now but the grass is still too big and the camper isn't as good as the one in the next image...
Here we have a final scene with the original camper modelled by Carlo Santoriello and some improvements to the size of the grass blades on the ground and the background. The lighting is also improved and we're super close now to being able to animate and render some action!

It's a real collaboration of creative minds, skills and technology bringing this to life for you and we can't wait to bring you the final episode - the first of many - now we're in the flow.

Our goal is to secure views and investment so we can produce further episodes much quicker and in a more focused way, so these are things we're slowly pulling together to make this one of the best new children's shows around!

Let us know how you feel about how things are coming together - we'd love to hear from you! x
