Some Ethereum heavyweights took a Reddit AMA this week, including Vitalik, Justin Drake, and Dankrad Feist. The main talking points:
Ethereum value will (probably) come from a "sybmiotic" relationship between rollups and mainet. As long as rollups keeps growing, Mainnet will eventually be able to capture value via economic security. As seen in the chart above, rollups like Base, went from paying 4M/mo, to just a couple hundred k's for gas. This is good for innovation, but bad for Ethereum revenue capture, this is why ETH's price hasn't been great. IMO, I have to agree with the heavyweights, value capture will come.
Scaling Ethereum will via via SNAKRS and ZK, these technologies will allow Mainnet to process hundreds of thousands of hashes per second. The foundations has been sluggish implementing them because they want to make sure anything they do is secure and careful.
Top Earners
If we analyze who are the top earners in crypto right now, we can see three big trends:
Infra: L1s or L2s
Yield: Stables, Lending, Staking
Exchanges: DEXs
In short, consumer apps are yet to come to the top earners, we will see this in a year.
Gnosis Cashback Card
Gnosis Pay is the world’s first on-chain spending account with a Visa® Debit Card linked to a self-custodial blockchain wallet.
It's a credit card tied to a Gnosis Safe account. Depending on your amount of $GNO tokens held, you can earn up to 4% in cashback using the card.
The initiative is funded by the GnosisDAO to around 10,000 GNO ($1.5M), and it aims to incentivize the mainstream usage of Gnosis pay.
