Latest addition to Traceye’s Developer Suite – Storage & Query Optimizers via Pruning ledger meta-data and Indexed data

We are excited to announce a significant upgrade to the Traceye Developer Kit for Dedicated Graph Nodes: Ledger & Indexed Data Pruning. This new feature is engineered to enhance efficiency by optimising storage space and improving query performance through smart data pruning strategies.

Details of the Update:

Ledger Data pruning

Traceye’s Developer Suite

The Graph Node works by storing all Blockchain transactional data in Postgres for faster indexing of historical data for new subgraphs. This feature is not suitable for Enterprises and entities managing their own Graph Node for a specific use case.

  • What’s New? This Developer addon allows users to configure Block Count. Any historical transactional data prior to Block Count from the current Block height is auto-pruned periodically.

  • Benefit: Optimizes storage and cost. No need to migrate to a bigger machine.

Indexed Data Pruning

A high volume of contract transactions can lead to an explosion of records in Subgraph Entities. Extremely large DB tables lead to slow speed in SQL query processing. Entities may not necessarily use older historical indexed data.

  • What’s New? This developer add-on provides configuration at the subgraph level to auto-prune historical data from subgraph entities, which is useless.

  • Benefit: Optimizes query performance. Keeps the Subgraph schema lightweight.
