The Lens community is fired up with the proposal "LIP-5 - Opening Up the Garden" submitted by the Bro ZKJew.

So, what's a LIP? In simple terms, it's a Lens Improvement Proposal, acting like a roadmap for evolving Lens Protocol, steering it towards more open governance and decentralisation.

Think of LIPs as the guidebook for Lens Protocol. They help keep everything in order and let the community have a say in how Lens evolves, much like the Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs).

LIP-5 is basically “THE” Proposal for Lens to become permissionless, so everyone could join the Garden. Here’s a short breakdown:

Wider user adoption is crucial. Time for Lens to become permissionless!
Lens has unique tech wonders. More users mean more use cases and iterations.
