A few months ago, there was a hype a about the inauguration of OM launched by Punk6529, so I took on the task of exploring this minimalist space to finally enter the virtual world.
Firstly, I read the whole thread written by the creator of this space, and what caught my attention was the emphasis he put on the word “education”, and how this space will function in an educational way for anyone who’s interested, or wants to be involved, and as he wrote: "experience", I liked that: to gain experience, knowledge, and educate with art.
1/ Introducing OM
Buckle up, this is going to be long, but fun.

My first attempt wasn’t very skilled, and I had a hard time because I’ve never been interested in interacting with this kind of spaces before, although I find them fascinating, however I get distracted easily. Yes, my first attempt was clumsy, as if a dizzy person is handling the keyboard and can only wander around without fully enjoying the experience OM offers.
3/ So, the last 8 months (and I suspect quite a few more to come), this is what I have been working on. pic.twitter.com/cEHSOXy4As

I went back a couple more times, with a slight improvement in my skills, nonetheless I didn't quite understand how to use it, not because it doesn't offer the tools necessary to do so, but because of my lack of concentration for certain topics, and because while I was trying to improve I couldn't stop thinking about what Punk6529 himself mentioned about the future usefulness of the space and how they are still working on creating a bridge to connect it to real life. As I walked through the photography room, I stopped in front of one of the images on display, I was able to access the technical details of the work at the touch of a button, a window opens, and you can see all the corresponding information, very interesting tool for someone new in this virtual spaces .
I repeat, at the moment, I was not completely skilled, but it was also because I asked myself many questions that certainly have nothing to do with the design or experience of the OM metaverse; but rather on how is it going to evolve? How are they going to look after it? How is it going to contribute socially? If this is about art and education, how and to whom is this educational process that Punk6529 has put so much emphasis on in his presentation thread, going to be directed?
11/ OM is an experiment, specifically an experiment on if we can build an open metaverse that is:
a) engaging
b) inclusive to all
c) Integrated with physical world— 6529 (@punk6529) April 14, 2022
Perhaps the education he was referring to is an education aimed at those who are already immersed in the web3. As he mentioned, it consists of a constant try and fail experience, an experiment that combines art and practical education, where such an extensive virtual museum is for those who are already familiar and adapted to the metaverse; and thus, can see the dynamics of the performance in order to create a future educational platform for those who have no access or are even completely unaware of its existence.
I understand that this is a period to observe the performance of the platform itself but also for the users to see how many and who are willing to create a system of artistic, cultural, and social dissemination. Let's think that those who are willing to embark on such a journey must also be very clear about the commitment that this entails, because it's about creating socio-cultural opportunities where any person can have access to this type of experiences, which involve more the taste for the art in each of its physical and virtual manifestations; thus, feeling that they are also part of the dissemination of culture, knowing that it's not just for a few. In my opinion, this is one of the principles that must be taken care of in the development of OM, otherwise it becomes another scenario where one must preach among converts.
We are privileged to know about projects like these, knowing that a large percentage of people barely understand what an NFT is. That's why, when talking about OM I have focused on the creator has said about education, and not so much on the experience, that's why I think about the "how", how to bring this ambitious project to real life? How to make it reach more people? How to educate people about the metaverse?, that's part of the long term goals and I doubt in the least that they will solve it.
63/ The goal for 6529 Museum is EDUCATION.
Over time, we will curate and give proper signage for everything, interviews with artists, live events.
We want it to be the best place to get people educated on NFTs, from basic to advanced level— 6529 (@punk6529) April 14, 2022
I don't have answers, only questions regarding the revelation of virtual universes where art predominates, at least for now. I look forward to seeing its evolution and all that can be created from this marvelous world.
