Unlocking the Power of Event Collections and Curation with Unlock Labs

At Unlock Labs, we’re constantly looking for ways to empower event organizers with the tools they need to create, manage, and grow their event offerings. That’s why we’re excited to introduce a brand-new feature: Event Collections.

Whether you’re an organizer managing multiple meetups or a curator building a calendar of must-attend experiences around an industry event, the Event Collection feature gives you a way to showcase and organize events in one cohesive place that you can share and highlight for your community.

The Event Collections page is a new type of page within our events app that showcases multiple events in one place.

There are two groups who will get huge value out of Event Collections: Event organizers and curators.

• Event organizers: Event organizers who host multiple events now have a place to group events together under a single, customizable page. If you’re an event organizer who hosts multiple events, this is a way to showcase all of them in a single place.

• Curators: Curators who are collecting side events at a larger event, or who are pulling together a list of events around a theme, now can do so with Event Collections. Anyone can curate and create an Event Collections page for an industry event (e.g. Devcon) or for a larger gathering like Climate Week or Tech Week.

Think of an Event Collections page as a hub for upcoming and past events, displayed in a clean, organized format. Attendees can see key details at a glance, including date, time, location, and attendee previews, all while maintaining a seamless RSVP process.

We built Event Collections in response to feedback from event organizers who manage onchain events that use Unlock Protocol.

The ability to consolidate these events into one place improves visibility for each individual event. It also enhances the overall experience for a community. With event listings collected in one place, event organizers are able to improve discoverability, making it easier for attendees to find and register for events.

Originally inspired by feedback from event organizers who use Unlock Protocol for their onchain events, Event Collections are also a powerful capability for curators. If you’re someone who wants to highlight a series of events based on a theme or location, Event Collections will be a key tool in your toolbox.

Setting up an Event Collection page can be done in just a few minutes.

• Create your collection: Head to https://app.unlock-protocol.com/events/new-collection to get started. From there, you’ll be able to add a title, description, banner image, and social links (like your Warpcast, Twitter or website link). Once created, you’ll be redirected to your new collection page.

• Customize and manage: As the creator, you’ll have access to a dedicated https://app.unlock-protocol.com/events/<your-collection>/settings page where you can update your collection’s settings, manage who can contribute, and approve or remove events from the page. You can even add additional managers for your collection, making it easier to collaborate with your team.

• Add events to the collection: Whether you’re managing a full calendar of events or inviting external collaborators to contribute, managing a collection is intuitive. Event organizers can immediately add events via URL, from their existing managed events, or create new events from scratch.

• Share your collection: Share the link to https://app.unlock-protocol.com/events/<your-collection> far and wide to get awareness and signups for all the events in your collection.

• Manage multiple collections: There is no limit to the number of collections you can create or manage — create at will!

Unlock Labs is just getting started with Event Collections. In the near future, we’ll be adding even more features, like the ability to include external events, opening up new opportunities for collaborations and cross-promotion.
