If you've been on Warpcast, or were at a Farcon side event, or have attended a Moxie or GM Farcaster community call, you've used Eventcaster and Events.xyz. And now, you can bring events managed by Eventcaster onchain and create onchain tickets through a new integration with Unlock Protocol deployed on Base.
Matthew Kochakian (@matthew), Founder of Eventcaster, had this to say about the integration:
"It was clear after [Unlock Protocol] powered farcon's main ticket sale that there are benefits to bringing events onchain, and the folks at Unlock really stepped up to get the engineering work done for this."

Here are a few other things shared in the Farcaster community...
To enable onchain ticketing in Eventcaster, an event organizer simply needs to click the "NFT tickets" checkbox when they are setting up their event.
As you can see from the screenshot above, the onchain capabilities of Unlock Protocol are seamlessly integrated into the user experience that is 100% controlled by Eventcaster.
This is the power of open-source, onchain protocols like Unlock Protocol. Once they are set up and proven, new capabilities (in this case, onchain ticketing) can be integrated into other platforms and protocols, typically in days or weeks. (The integration with Eventcaster took less than one month, for example.)
This integration comes on the heels of another similar effort where Unlock Protocol was integrated with Hats Protocol. Hats integrated Unlock Protocol to add time-based memberships and subscriptions to the onchain role and access management capabilities provided by Hats, which was announced earlier this week. The Hats Protocol and Unlock Protocol integration similarly took about one month, as was shared in this livestream with David Ehrlichman, Co-Founder of Hats Protocol.
