Building on top of Argus Lab's World Engine and being the first on-production game running on World Engine Devnet, there are certainly a lot of eyes on it, not just about how it will takeover the torch from Dark Forest, but also to see how on-chain games can operate and scale under such architecture.

Paima's ZK Paper

On-chain gaming engine Paima has released a paper of their Mina-based ZK Layer.

This paper discusses the use of Zero Knowledge (ZK) and Data Availability (DA) layers to scale on-chain gaming experiences. It highlights the limitations of current blockchains or rollups to run games that serve a large userbase, at the same time proposes leveraging technologies like Recursive SNARKS and isomorphic L2s on top of Mina Protocol as a ZK layer, which allows to spin up new "zk instances" as needed for the game, and allows all the player's actions aggregated into a single constant-size proof.

By combining Mina's recursive zk proof with the dynamism and customability of Zeko Labs' Layer 2 solution and utilzing LambdaClass's zkBridge for zk proofs verification on EVM chains, Paima aims to enable large-scale decentralized games while maintaining security and interoperability with other chains.
