Happy New Year!

As the earth completes its orbit around the sun (our ancestors’ time metrics certainly endure), we here at TNN (it’s still just me…for now) would like to offer our readers a brief year in review. As well as a little tease about what is to come!

Bye, 3648

TNN is a relatively young blog. Just six months old. Most of our content, if not all, has concerned the Galaxy’s number one Tar company: The Vogu Collective. An understandable point of focus considering the year the company has had. A run down:

In April, Vogu thwarted a hijacking attempt on their latest Ongo shipment. Thanks to the badassery of Rabbot and his Centurian security team no Tars were harmed or stolen. The would-be hijackers, however, managed to escape. Only to strike again a few months later. This time with a cyberattack on Vogu’s manufacturing systems, which left the company with 7,777 unsolicited Tars—each bot an unusual mishmash of model attributes. The culprits remain at large, and the investigation is ongoing.

In a magnificent display of turning lemons into lemonade, Vogu took their misfortune and made history. The randomized bots of the 7,777 went up for auction in a huge, randomized sales event. The line sold out within twenty minutes. Invigorated by the line’s success and the fast-growing community surrounding it, the Vogu team rushed a companion piece into development. By November, we were all enjoying our new MUTTS.

TNN was the first to report on these events.

Hello, 3649

Admittedly, last year’s posts appeared sporadically. Something I aim to change in the coming year. As of January 1st, I will be taking a step back from my day job as Senior Reporter at Terra Firma Media. This should allow more time for the TNN!

Moving forward, you can expect a post on the 16th of every month (at the least). I will continue to keep you abreast of the latest news and updates regarding all things Tar. In fact, I hope to secure a sneak preview of the upcoming Hype/Vogu merch collab (hint hint, Trackzy). I'm also working on securing more deets on the Netgear partnership. More news on both fronts soon.

You can also expect a multi-part series exploring faction origins.

And who knows? Maybe I’ll even pivot to video?

I would like to close with a big thank you to my readers! Your enthusiasm for this blog is very much appreciated! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Have a wonderful new year! And get yourself a Meural Canvas! I got a nice little gallery going in my office. Recommend!
