OP Airdrop #5

Yesterday Airdrop #5 allocated 10M+ OP to 54k+ unique addresses to reward users who have been involved in the growth of the Superchain Ecosystem. Criteria includes "Superchain power users", who have interacted with at least 20 unique contracts, active delegators, SuperFest participants, and more.

Unichain joins the Superchain

Uniswap Labs announced Unichain, an L2 to become a home for DeFi and liquidity across chains.

Unichain is working to bring better interoperability, enabling seamless access to cross-chain swapping, and collaborating with Optimism to bring cross-chain message passing to the Superchain. With one-second block times at launch and upcoming 250ms Flash-blocks thanks to collaborations with Flashbots and OP Labs, Unichain promises faster, more efficient transactions.

Key points of the Superchain Vision include: standarization of chains, chains that feel like one but scale to 1000+, seamless user experience and governance that ensures security and fosters sustainable growth and development.

Retro Funding 6: Last Days to Apply

Retro Funding 6 will reward contributions to Optimism Governance between October 2023 and September 18, 2024. This includes governance infrastructure & tooling, governance analytics, and governance leadership. Learn more

Application Deadline: October 14th.

Retro Funding 6: Application Review Process

Reviewers will be selected via a combination of an opt-in process and random sampling. If you are a Citizen, you can opt-in to participate filling out this form.

Application Deadline: October 11th (Tomorrow!)

Impact Attestation Experiment

In Retro Funding 6, the Collective will experiment with collecting impact data of different governance contributions via attestations on Impact Garden.

This experiment asks top 100 Delegates, Citizens and other governance leadership members to issue attestations on projects applying to the governance infrastructure & tooling category. Resulting insights will be given to existing badgeholders to support the voting process.
