A common criticism of onchain markets is that there are no “real projects” - we disagree. Billions of dollars in value is created each year from users swapping, lending, and utilizing blockspace. These are core financial primitives that users and builders clearly value.

While regulatory uncertainty once favored anonymous, short-term projects over sustainable builders, we're entering a new era. Our vision is to bridge this gap with the Doppler Protocol, creating an environment where both established projects and emerging innovations can thrive.

We believe in a crypto ecosystem that embraces both utility and creativity. Doppler and Pure

Permissionless capital formation is the superpower of crypto. Anyone, anywhere, at any time can both create and purchase tokens for an asset, app, or meme that they believe in. The Doppler Protocol isn't just participating in this new paradigm - we’re hoping to accelerate it.

Projects want capital to build and grow, users want to support projects they believe in, and traders want to capitalize on a project’s success. Doppler connects all these participants in one immutable, incentive-aligned layer.

The Doppler Protocol aims to be the hub of onchain value creation. This audited, permissionless layer of infrastructure allows more value to flow to token projects, a deeper Uniswap integration, and less MEV harming all users of the Protocol. This is done via a sophisticated onchain auction that is totally abstracted from users that anyone can be on in just a few lines of code.

The code is public, has been extensively audited, and is launching today on Unichain. Other chains are coming soon, based on interest, user demand, and community feedback.

We are also debuting the first application on Doppler: Pure. Pure is the first front-end to access Doppler - a streamlined interface to create any kind of token, as well as swap and explore markets, built by a team of Uniswap core contributors who have deep understanding and expertise in AMMs. This interface is ready today for people who want to use the Doppler Protocol. But it’s just one example of what can be done. From AI memecoins, to game tokens, to DAOs, our end goal is to make token creation better, safer, and less extractive for users.

What’s Next

Builders everywhere should be empowered to create assets of value instead of funnelling it to offchain entities. Keeping more value onchain will only accelerate onchain price discovery and capital formation.

To accelerate this growth, we are happy to announce that Whetstone raised $1.3 million in our pre-seed round from Variant, Nascent, Credibly Neutral, Uniswap Ventures, Ambush, and Figment, plus a host of great angels. We’ve also built a team of experienced Protocol engineers with more to come.

Next is building the pieces that empower builders and users everywhere. Just as automated market makers and over-collateralized lending removed middlemen from exchanging and lending, Doppler allows projects to bootstrap liquidity without the need for middlemen or market makers. Tokenization is the future, and the easier we can make it to move and retain value onchain, the better off we’ll all be.
