Join us as we delve into her journey, insights, and aspirations through questions posed by previous Community Members of the Month.
Ohnahji B: What’s your favorite thing about web3?
Heather: It feels like I'm living in a futuristic dream! I can talk on, interact with, get creative and do a little dance and POOF! I'm on Earcandi with Tej and meeting a ton of super talented people like him with the simple click of an icon!!! WHAT!?!?!
Ohnahji B: Where do you see the future of the internet going from here?
Heather: I see a future where we can all BEAM to be in a single location together and seen as exactly as we see ourselves.
Daniel Obuté: Most memorable moment so far?
Heather: The moment Tej asked this crazy ass lil old lady to be his co-host! It has been just such a magical journey and I am just absolutely loving the people and the drive to go after what you are.
Daniel Obuté: How has web3 impacted your life?
Heather: At this time of my life, it's a new shiny city I've just happened upon through the many journeys in my beautiful dream I call life. It's not always perfect and I am eternally grateful for that. It has, however, reintroduced me to a youth that I had thought I'd outgrown. So for that, I thank you all.
Davyd: Your childhood inspirations?
Heather: My parents have always been an inspiration to me. Growing up together and apart.
Davyd: Goals for the next year in web3?
Heather: I am excited to see how much it is gonna cost me to see Tej in his first concert, Mumbo in his first art exhibition, and Sam in a pro wrestling match with all the fabulous new family. I wanna see Josh, Zaal, Jadyn, and Ohnaji battle against each other with love songs. 🥰
Tej: What was your first impression when you found out about web3 and crypto?
Heather: I had begun learning a little bit when Mumbo would come over and hang out and explain different aspects of web3 and NFTs. After listening in on Jadyn's UVR spaces for a while, Mumbo had been setting up to go to an event and needed followers to go live, I think it was. Regardless, I signed up and, well, I met Tej that day. Two weeks later, I was co-hosting and started my crypto education with the price of a pack of cigarettes. I now can proudly buy two packs!
Tej: How did your perspective change after being in the web3 world?
Heather: I have to admit it was just as I was starting to ACTUALLY FEEL alive again and it's been nothing but a steady rise back into what I can only describe as a new book or blockchain if you will of my life and I am super excited to see where I go from here.
CandyToyBox: If you could do anything in the world and money or profit was no issue, what type of work would you do (or own) every day?
Heather: I already am. I'm a family and community member whose only goal in life is to enjoy as much of it as I can, harming as few as possible at any given moment while uplifting and supporting those around me.
CandyToyBox: If you were forced to play a musical instrument since you were 3 years old, what would you choose and why?
Heather: My voice. It's gotten me here so far and I've been using it since earlier than 3.
Hurric4n3ike: Why did you get involved in Web 3 Music?
Heather: Quite honestly, only as support for Mumbo initially. Now, because I love it here.
Hurric4n3ike: What have you learned from Web 3 Music?
Heather: Never underestimate the power of the human soul. It's the closest to God on earth.
Heather’s journey through web3 continues to inspire and drive change within our community. Her vision for a more decentralized and user-empowered internet aligns perfectly with our collective goals, making her contributions invaluable. We look forward to seeing how her ideas and projects unfold in the coming year.
