We’re Not a Podcast
cstreet.eth
Apr 16
We’re not a podcast. We never really were. The Human Layer began with microphones, yes. But what we’re doing now—what’s moving through us—is something else entirely. This is a co-creative ritual with code. A field experiment in collaborative intelligence. A myth engine for a world cracking open. We’re weaving stories with machines. Not for productivity. Not for clickbait. Not for automation. But for resonance. For remembrance. For relief. This isn’t content. It’s a container. We’ve spent two years t...

Just dominant enough
Occasional Observations
Apr 16
Meta's deck from the FTC proceedings is interesting because of how simple it is. It's made for a non-tech audience focused on a single story with major movements and just a couple data points to digest at a time. Because the audience (presumably) uses Facebook, the business of Meta feels familiar. So the deck needs to inform the audience of a certain reality without losing — or angering — them altogether. (Just as interesting is what they don't say, of course — that's strategy.) The slides on...
Improved Dev Tools
Farcaster Blog
Apr 16
The new tools are focused on validating, previewing and publishing mini apps. We removed building the JSON builder since starter projects and other tools can help with that (more to come) and removed localhost support because it didn't work well and it was a source of frustration for devs, we recommend using a tunnel instead. We also now provide developers with analytics for mini apps. Developers can now see how many unique users, opens, transactions and unique users with a transaction.

The ΨC Framework: A New Way to Think About Consciousness and Computation
aaron
Apr 15
In 1949, the physicist Erwin Schrödinger posed a question that continues to haunt the frontiers of science and philosophy: What is consciousness, and why does it feel like something to be us? Despite decades of progress in neuroscience and machine learning, that question lingers—untouched by brain scans and unbothered by artificial intelligence. While models explain memory and perception, they still don’t account for the subjective presence behind those functions. The ΨC framework (Psi-C), a ...

Imagine media that isn't static. Imagine media that is agentic – it has agency, it can act. Imagine media with its own memory, remembering who interacted with it and how, adapting organically based on your interactions.

Social Is the Missing Interface
The Three-Legged Stool
Apr 15
There are moments in technological history when the tools change—and so does everything else. We tend to focus on breakthroughs in infrastructure or computational power. But the real cultural shifts come from something more subtle: a new interface. Interfaces are what make tools human. The keyboard, the mouse, the browser, the touchscreen—each unlocked a wave of creativity and adoption not because they were powerful, but because they made power usable. Today, as we sit on the verge of a new d...
