Gramajoโ€™s Corner

It took until Thursday to feel better from this cold, getting older sucks as you just don't bounce back like you used to. Let's dive in!

We have a little over a week left on this Meme Round over at my channel /area51. Give me your best alien inspired meme and win some degen.

This week I will be dropping my next art collab with Cap'n an artist whose work has had me in awe since I first ran into him on Farcaster, the piece is absolutely nuts. It will be a low edition count mostly for the ambassador tier but I will have one or two to giveaway for Type0 members. We will also be doing an AMA on the telegram on Wednesday/Thursday night, so come by and drop some questions in the chat or if you just want to hang out and read some answers to questions that is fine to.

The ambassadors have known about this for a bit, but I am happy to announce my next batch of interviews from Rustyspoons, Coup of Grace, Yungwknd, Tani and more. Looking forward to recording, livestreaming, editing the next couple of months.

Art

Before we start, I wanted to bring your attention to the situation that is happening with fellow photographer Ryan Warner. His home recently got burned by some California fires and he is going through some hard times. But if you ever thought about buying some of his photography, now might be a good time to scoop up a piece and also help him out. No pressure and NFA figured id share.

Harley Davidson dropped a collaboration piece with Timmboslice that borrowed a page from ThankyouX. A physical piece with a digital NFT embedded into the art. A crazy drop worth checking out and really love that artists keep pushing the boundaries of physical and digital with their art.

High quality merch with some dope art tied to it. This drop by Juice Bruns is dope AF. I love heavy weight tees even though it doesn't get too cold where I live but the the theme and quality of these look really good.

XCOPY has two new Max Pain burns for us SH_MASH_MA and XOMBO. My favorite one being SH_MASH_MA for the colors and style. Which one do you like the most?

Tech

ETH ETF was approved this week and the price dropped 7% in the last week. This market is still a twisted one, everything is wonky. But as always, stay patient, just keep DCAing and stacking your chips. When no one is looking you are accumulating, this isn't financial advise but I will tell you that meme coins desensitizes you to normal gains, we want everything to go up 1000x in less than a few hours and that is just not how everything operates. Be patient, we are still super early. Or you can go chase the next big thing, do you boo boo.

I am a huge fan of Protonmail and what they are trying to do. I use them as my email provider now and have used them for many years as a paid subscriber. I was really happy to see that they are embracing crypto and even created their own wallet. Now this is their first foray into crypto and their are some that are angry that they did not implement certain privacy preserving tech into their app but personally I tend to look at things a bit more positive. Proton has a huge dev team and the fact that they shipped this means that they are bringing a new app and making it easier for many more people to use Bitcoin. Is this enough for the hardcore folks like myself? No, but that doesn't make their delivery less impressive. I've been hodling BTC now for close to 12 years now I am probably not the target audience for this and that is okay. I for one, welcome their commitment to bringing more people to the dark side.

Atari x Coinbase x Stack.so this drop is nuts and came out of nowhere. This is a really fun onchain summer drop and leverages the tech of Stack.so which is the cherry on top. If you read my cool shit spotlight #2 then you know why I am bullish on onchain gaming and why I think as a community we need to spend more time catering to gamers, this right here is a step in that direction.

IYK which is best known for connecting the digital world with the physical world through NFT merch, cards, bookmarks and now stickers. This is a really neat concept about having a sticker on you that other can tap to see a memory or whatever you save to it.

More people have been receiving their Stax recently from Ledger and it looks like now Ledger has a new baby brother to the Stax, called the Flex. I don't really have a need for a new wallet but these are dope looking. I really like eink displays and I am glad to see them be used in more settings.

Yup which has been getting popular due to being one of the few apps you can post to Lens, Farcaster and Twitter all in one platform as well as making the rounds due to a new AI feature they dropped is now receiving some VC funding to continue to disrupt the space. Congrats to the team!

After a fresh round of funding from CB Ventures, Privy is now got their eyes locked on Solana and bringing embedded wallets to their system. A lot of young people use SOL and it makes sense on what Privy is trying to do, to expand to Solana.

Lastly, shoutout to JP for catching this. The autofollow list that was getting a ton of hate recently on Farcaster is now gone and they will use a TikTok like method of showing relevant accounts and casts to users when onboarding.

Notable Sales

This really nice piece by Delta Sauce sold for 48k $rare. I've been getting up to speed on Delta Sauce's pieces and will definitely be keeping an eye out for a new ones as I really like their style.

Derech seems to be a on a tear recently as a lot of collectors have been collecting his work. One of my favorite photographers in the space and well deserved.

Last time I mentioned this piece when it sold for 11ETH it was stolen from the collector. The same piece recently sold again for 17.3ETH. Hoping it makes its way back to the rightful owner some day.

Upcoming

Composable actions and the people who have hopped on them quickly are continuing to explore new use cases. One of the initial apps, ponder which helps with polls is looking at adding more customizations to their polls with hypersub gating and AMAs gated to hypersubs which is something I am really intrigued by as I want to do more text based AMAs as I think they are super underrated.

The goat Samuel Huber previewed a way to running games inside a frame on Farcaster. Which gives us a taste of what may come next, Farcaster Mini Game app season.

It appears C4rdinal is back with some fresh new pieces and this one caught my attention due to the funny commentary on how sometimes it does feel like you are gambling out there with some meme coins. Either way, looking forward to some new C4rdinal 1/1, editions or whatever he is cooking on his side of the world.

As more and more types of tips get distributed in our social media apps, apps like microsub will be instrumental in staying on top of it all. I am currently alpha testing this app by Downshift and I am excited to see where it goes and how I can support.

Collectibles

I don't usually cover PFP projects but one of my favorite PFPs in the space, just dropped some new collectibles and I am here for it. Chimpers have teased some physical cards before and now we are are getting some digital ones and these are dope. They will be on base so collecting and trading these will be cheap. More and more projects are exploring cards so here is to hoping these do well.

I couldn't help but think that if Fortnite and some of these other free to play games had onchain collectibles these would do extremely well. But really cool to see the cybertruck making its way to Fortnite.

Probably one of the hardest collabs of the year. I've been slowly watching and catching up on OnePiece and I used to fuck hard with Lacoste back in my high school days and this is 1000% a must cop for me. So if you have any homies in Japan, please let me know so I can get some of this merch.

Meme Of The Week

Its been a brutal week of sleep at my home this past week but this one gave me a good chuckle as my daughter was legit ready to go to the park at 5am on Saturday.
