Convert Intract XP into your native points with Absinthe PaaS

In today’s how-to guide, you can create a single source of truth for your loyalty program even after launching campaigns on questing platforms like Galxe, Zealy and Intract. By seamlessly incorporating Intract leaderboard XP into your points program you are able into the top-of-funnel activity driven through these questing platforms while still denominating value in your native points!

Absinthe internalizes Intract scores by periodically snapshotting the state of the leaderboard. As users' scores increase in the Intract quest, their scores would similarly increase on the Absinthe platform based on the rules you configure.

Lets say your points were called nuggets. Here are some ways users can earn nuggets based on their Intract XP

• You can design the Intract XP to convert into nuggets based on a conversion rate. Eg: 1 XP = 0.43 nuggets

• You can set thresholds, unlocking bonuses in nuggets once the user earns certain amounts XP. Eg: Once a user crosses 250 XP, they earn 35 nuggets. When the user crosses 500 XP, they earn 100 nuggets

In order to do this, set the following through the admin portal:

1. Log in to your Intract account.

2. Navigate to your Dashboard.

3. Find the Auth Tokens section in the settings sidebar.

4. Click on Add API Token if you haven’t created one yet, or copy your existing API Key.

Keep your API Key secure and do not share it publicly, as it provides access to your Intract data.

5. Paste your Intract API Key into the Intract API Key field in the Absinthe Configurator.

After entering your Intract API Key, you can set up badges that users can earn based on their performance in Intract quests.

1. In the Configurator, navigate to the Set Up Points for Intract Quests section.

2. Under Intract Badges, click on Add Badge to create a new badge.

3. For each badge, provide the following details:

• Title: The name of the badge (e.g., “Intract Champion”).

• Badge Icon: Upload an image that represents the badge.

• Enable Glassy Transparency Color: Optionally, enable a glassy background color for the badge by checking this box.

• Glassy Background Color: If glassy transparency is enabled, select a background color.

• Threshold: The number of Intract points a user must earn to unlock this badge.

• Reward Points: The number of points the user will receive on your platform upon unlocking this badge.

4. Repeat the process to add multiple badges, up to a maximum of 10.

You can specify a conversion rate to map Intract points to your platform’s points system.

For example, if you set the conversion rate to 1, then 1 Intract point equals 1 Absinthe point. If you set it to 0.5, then 1 Intract point equals 0.5 Absinthe points.

1. In the Points Conversion Rate field, enter the desired conversion rate.

2. If you do not wish to convert Intract points directly, you can leave this field blank.

1. After entering all the necessary information, click Save to apply your configuration.

2. Our platform will now periodically fetch data from Intract and update users’ points and badges accordingly.

• Users' Intract point are not updating on the platform.
  Ensure that your Intract API Key is correctly entered and valid. Double-check that the API Key has not expired or been revoked in your Intract account settings. Also, verify that the points conversion rate is set appropriately.

• Badges are not appearing for users
  Confirm that you have correctly configured the badges, including setting appropriate thresholds and reward points. Make sure each badge has a unique title and that the Threshold values correspond to achievable Intract points.

• Encountering an error when saving the configuration
  Ensure all required fields are filled out correctly. Check for any validation messages next to the fields. If the problem persists, try refreshing the page or contacting our support team.

Currently, the maximum number of badges you can add for Intract integration is 10.

The platform periodically syncs with Intract to fetch the latest user data. The exact sync interval may vary, but updates should appear within a few hours.

If you adjust the points conversion rate, it will affect future and past calculations of Intract points to Absinthe points. That could take a couple hours to be propagated.
