BUILD: For The Builders

The Web3 space thrives on its builders, who create the most impactful ecosystem with layers of various kind and serving a range of consumers.

But do builders truly have a dedicated reward program? 

Ecosystem grants are great, but we have something really unique to watch out with BUILD.

If a truly decentralized program exists, for and by the builders, then gamifying the approach is what gives us BUILD.

BUILD's mission is clear: Nominate and celebrate outstanding builders. It's a social game on Farcaster, leveraging peer nominations to recognize on-chain innovators.

As an on-chain participant, you can nominate impressive builders on BUILD. The process is straightforward and promotes fairness with two rules:

1. Three nominations per day.

2. One nomination per builder per season.

Nominations are made via Farcaster, Lens, Talent Passport, or ENS profiles on the BUILD website.

BUILD uses the $BUILD token, an ERC-20 token on Base with a 1T supply. Launched in May 2024, it was funded via party.app and community airdrops:

• 60% for airdrops

• 40% for the Uniswap liquidity pool

Nominate your favorite builders at build.top. Each nominated builder receives 90% of your daily BUILD allocation. After Airdrop 1, BUILD Points convert to $BUILD Tokens for the builders.

The BUILD website features a leaderboard to enhance competition, tracking:

Now, while many would see this as another token shot within the memecoin flywheel, BUILD aims to position itself as a definite ‘Onchain Builder Economy’

The first of many would be the 1st Airdrop: Claim window opens on 12th June and last till the 30th of June, 2024. You can check your allocation here

Eligible for the BUILD drop? Well you have more than 1 option before hitting the sell button. Let us explain:

• Pay it all forward: Use 100% of your allocation towards Summer CAMP

• Split & Commit 50%: Commit Half the funds towards Summer Camp fund and claim the remaining half.

• Claim & Quit: 100% allocation claimed without any leaderboard perks & token unlocks on 18th June

Then comes the Round 2 of Airdrop: “BUILD Airdrop 2 will be about building a sustainable and decentralized builder economy.”

The idea here is to cement the vision of BUILD and provide capital, both social & financial to top Builders in the ecosystem. Airdrop 2 is scheduled for September, 2024.

The vision boils down to the advent of Summer Camp.

Airdrop 1 began on June 4th, 2024 with a grand total of 170K wallets connected to build.top

Only 100k out of the 170K wallets qualified with a minimum of 1 nomination as criteria in the 20 odd days of the gamification process. 

Slashing down to the final number of 88.5K wallets which are finally eligible to make their claims starting today, 12th June.

The final step involves assigning each participant a multiplier based on their selected Talent Passport credentials, $BUILD tokens owned, and manual curation. This extra step ensures that genuine builders and true supporters of BUILD are rewarded in the best possible way.

As discussed above, BUILD Airdrop distribution will allow users to commit their allocation towards Summer Camp. 

Summer Camp will bring developers across the globe to build within the Farcaster ecosystem and push the limits of what can be done in terms of ecosystem growth and adoption. 

BUILD will redistribute all the allocated tokens from Airdrop 1 to builders during Summer Camp using a new variation of the nomination system. 

Additionally, all unclaimed tokens from Airdrop 1 will also remain in the allocated Safe Multisig wallet and be considered as part of the “BUILD Summer Fund”.

• Make nominations easier and more genuine by tagging @buildbot on Farcaster.

• Get notifications through Farcaster Direct Casts and XMTP.

• Encourage more integration by enhancing the BUILD API and offering public bounties for those who integrate with BUILD.

• Launch ecosystem grants to reward builders who actively contribute to improving BUILD.

• Create fun ways to use $BUILD tokens and points, like for merch or lotteries.

• Host or sponsor real-life meetups. Two events are already planned: one in Lisbon (June 29-30) and another in Brussels (July 12).
