Mocaverse, the marquee consumer network with an interoperable infrastructure layer of Account, Identity, Reputation, and PointFi systems seeded by Animoca Brands, today announced that it entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SYMBIOGENESIS, the first NFT collectible art project of SQUARE ENIX HOLDINGS CO. LTD (“Square Enix”) to promote user onboarding from Web2 to Web3.
SYMBIOGENESIS is a project by Square Enix, the leading Japanese video game publisher and entertainment company that created hit titles including Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. SYMBIOGENESIS is a new entertainment concept that spans 10,000 NFTs representing collectible art and browser-oriented content; the second chapter of SYMBIOGENESIS was released in June 2024.
Mocaverse is one of Animoca Brands’ flagship projects and the go-to platform for consumers to maximize their Web3 exposure to experiences and rewards with a single login entry point.
The partnership announced today follows an agreement established earlier this year between SYMBIOGENESIS and Animoca Brands Japan, a strategic subsidiary of Animoca Brands, to strengthen the global marketing efforts of SYMBIOGENESIS (see announcement of 22 April 2024).
SYMBIOGENESIS will join the Moca Network through Mocaverse’s on-chain digital identity Moca ID and its associated Realm Points mechanism to accelerate Web3 user onboarding. Mocaverse will enable SYMBIOGENESIS players to access curated Web3 games and experiences in the Moca Network, which includes over 540 portfolio companies of Animoca Brands and various Mocaverse partners; additionally, over 1.8 million existing Moca ID users will also gain access to SYMBIOGENESIS content and browser-based experiences.
This collaboration will facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for a crypto-curious audience to the Web3 ecosystem. Through familiar Web2 social logins, users will be able to access hundreds of applications without needing to worry about seed phrases, repetitive transaction signing, or managing gas fees.
