How Will Artnames Work?
When users navigate to the mint page, they will have the option to connect their wallets.
Upon connecting a wallet, it will be scanned it to determine if the user owns a “basename” token from the contract at address 0x03c4738Ee98aE44591e1A4A4F3CaB6641d95DD9a.
If a basename token is found, the user’s basename(s) will be displayed, and they will have two options:
1. Enter Text Manually: Input custom text into the text field (note: periods are not allowed).
2. Use Basename: Click on the displayed basename to automatically copy it into the text input box.
After entering or selecting the text, the user can click “Generate Your Artname,” which will initiate a brief animation and reveal the artwork.
If the user does not have a basename token in their connected wallet, they will only be able to manually enter text (without periods) before generating their artname.
When the user generates their artname, the system will randomly assign one of over 12 million possible visual combinations. The artwork is composed of multiple layers, including a background, various filters and effects, a top layer, and a frame. The text component—represented by dots and dashes—is uniquely generated based on the entered name.
Therefore, owning a unique basename ensures that your artname will also be unique, both in its textual representation and visual composition.
