Artnames is starting its journey on the Base network, where users can transform any name or text into a unique Artnames creation. Not only that, but you can also convert your Basename and Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domains into personalized Artnames. To ensure ownership authenticity, we’ve implemented a restriction that only allows you to mint your own ENS or Basename. If someone attempts to mint an ENS or Basename that isn’t theirs, they’ll see an error message.
In addition to Base, Artnames is expanding to The Open Network (TON) as part of Phase 1. With TON’s large and active user base, along with a significant number of TON DNS holders, Artnames is developing referral programs and mini-apps to increase engagement and expand its reach even further.
But why stop there? After Phase 1, we’re preparing for the next phase of growth, bringing Artnames to networks like Solana and Tezos. We’re also exploring the possibility of adding Degen names on Base, depending on demand.
Phase 3 will see Artnames expanding to additional networks, including Polkadot, Moonbeam, and potentially BTC, allowing users across multiple blockchain ecosystems to access and mint their Artnames.
Currently, six talented artists are collaborating with Artnames, but we’re excited to bring even more artists into the project over time. We aim to support artists across various blockchains, with plans for submissions and potential competitions to involve the community in shaping Artnames’ creative journey.
Looking ahead, Artnames envisions becoming more than just a digital art project. Our ultimate goal is to evolve into an identity tool, a universal hub where users can resolve and manage all their blockchain addresses from one location.
Additionally, Artnames has been designed in high resolution (3072px x 4098px) from the outset, enabling seamless physical printing. In the future, we plan to offer physical prints of Artnames for purchase, catering not only to NFT enthusiasts but also to a wider audience. With services like Crossmint, people will be able to buy prints directly with a credit card, making Artnames accessible to everyone.
