An Improved Paragraph Experience on Farcaster

Over the past few years, social platforms have increasingly become walled gardens, actively throttling links and punishing attempts to engage audiences outside their control. This has left writers and creators vulnerable to unpredictable algorithm changes, harmed by opaque moderation and censorship practices, and constrained by limited monetization options with exploitative terms.

One of the most valuable aspects of publishing and creating onchain is the power of interoperability. For writers, this means greater control over your audience, better ways for your readers to support your work, and freedom from platform restrictions.

The connection between Paragraph and Farcaster is a powerful example of breaking down these walled gardens. By embracing open protocols and onchain publishing, we’re empowering writers to reach more readers, build stronger communities, and unlock new monetization opportunities.

Today, we’re excited to launch significant improvements to the Paragraph experience on Farcaster.

A Better Reading Experience on Farcaster

When we first launched the Paragraph mini-app, it was a lightweight version of the post page — good for quick reading, but missing some key engagement tools.

Now, we've rebuilt our integration from the ground up, and made it even easier for writers to grow & readers to discover great writing, without ever leaving Farcaster:

  • Collect: Readers can now support writers by collecting posts directly from their Farcaster feed, using Warpcast wallet. For writers, this means an opportunity to earn income, receive recognition, and build a more engaged reader base. This is just the beginning — we’ll be introducing new ways for writers to seamlessly earn money and be recognized for their ideas.

  • Subscribe: Readers can now subscribe to writers they discover on Farcaster with one tap, allowing writers to develop a deeper, ongoing relationship with their readers.

  • Notifications: Readers will get a notification on Farcaster when a writer they subscribe to publishes a new post. This is a major improvement — readers can stay up-to-date without cluttered inboxes, and writers no longer need to worry about overwhelming subscribers with emails.

  • Discover: After installing the frame, we'll automatically log you in and display your home feed, where we surface recommended posts based on your subscriptions and who you follow on Farcaster.

For everyone on Farcaster, it's now become much easier to publish & share your long-form writing, grow your audience, develop deeper relationships with your readers, and get paid for your ideas.

Finding Readers Where They Are

Farcaster and other onchain social platforms will always play a crucial role in maximizing readership. High-traffic social feeds — along with their built-in follower graphs — provide a powerful engine for great writing to gain traction. We want Paragraph writers to fully leverage these networks to expand their reach and grow their earnings.

This is just the beginning. We’re excited to continue refining this experience, introducing new engagement features, and making it even easier for writers on Paragraph to grow their audience and better monetize their writing.

Now is the perfect time to start publishing on Paragraph and sharing your work with the Farcaster community. Give it a try and let us know your thoughts — we’re excited to keep improving this experience with your feedback!

Winner of 1st place in @kiwi's Farcaster 2026 writing contest, @tombeck.eth argues that Farcaster, like the early automobile, is a transformative technology struggling to gain mainstream adoption. To succeed, it must break free from Web2 social media paradigms and lean into its unique advantages: portability, sovereignty, and composability. "Farcaster needs to show the public not just that its protocol works, but that it enables a fundamentally better way of experiencing the web." https://paragraph.xyz/@driftless/farcaster-is-a-car

@thatalexpalmer.eth shares his principles for product design, emphasizing clarity, predictability, and accessibility while also diving into practical heuristics that shape user experience. "Above all, design should be useful. Get the user’s job done and get out of the way as fast as possible." https://paragraph.xyz/@thatalexpalmer/my-principles-for-product-design
