Kiwi News is a decentralized version of Hacker News curated around topics that interest the crypto community. HN and other tech sites are famously hostile towards blockchains and just like we have our own crypto-aligned Social Network, we have our own crypto-aligned Social News Network.
I have been visiting Kiwi News for almost 2 years now. In short I think it's the best place to find things to read. It's still a small community and the level of curation is extremely high.
tldr; all signal, no noise.
Everyone who has been on Farcaster pre-Frames is nodding their head right now.
Kiwi was started by long-time Farcasters, Mac Budkowski and Tim Daub, and the community, who constitute the curators, is also heavily anchored around Farcaster. But I've noticed lately, the things I think of as "everyone on Farcaster knows about this" is no longer true.
So here is my attempt to share something great that came out of the Farcaster community in the early days. If you are looking for a place to find high quality writing about blockchain networks check out Kiwi.
There is A LOT more intellectually interesting things about Kiwi, like the fact that its actually a protocol and other front ends can (and have) been built on top of it or that its open source and aims to be credibly neutral. I'll leave that to the Mac and Tim. There are interesting technical and Product/UX things about it and nice product related decisions but I'll leave it to the reader to dive deeper.
Kiwi News is bootstrapped and build in public with a banger telegram channel, where we receive product updates, are asked to help shape the roadmaps and then otherwise hold high quality discussions about the latest crypto news. You need to purchase the Kiwi News NFT to participate on the site and in the Telegram which right now is a one-time payment of $20 to enter a high quality reading community.
