I've said before that slow movements take strength and today I was living my own words while sweat was pouring from me. It's easy to get swept up in momentum and coast a little. But moving slowly will reveal weak spots and where we need to pay more attention.
During my movement practice, I laughed to myself as I realized the synchronicity in choosing to move slowly and precisely today of all days. This week Higher FM is launching. It's a project I've been working on for months and now with it almost ready to see the light of day, I'm noticing what's coming up for me.
I have been open to the twists and turns along the way.
It's been a few years since I've launched a project like this and I am ready. It has taken on a different form than I originally thought. But isn't that part of the beauty in creating? You have an idea, a creative download and the rush of excitement gets you moving. Then you step back, look at what's in front of you and realize that it's even bigger and better than you could've planned. This is one of those moments and it feels really good.
I'm reminded of my nightclub dj era and feeling supported by a collective of incredible creative peers. Many have contributed their time and talent to this initiative, all in the name of higher storytelling and idea sharing. It's beautiful and I'm excited to see how it continues to unfold.
