I am pleased to announce the daily meme contests will be returning back! For those of you who were around, you'd likely know I used to host a daily meme contest where 50 - 5000 $Degen were up for grabs (depended on how large my allowance was in a given Degen season).
The contest rules are identical except for one twist one the prize.
Here's how it will work:
Each day in the morning, US Eastern Time, a cast will be posted by meta-david announcing the contest on /theblockexp channel.
Reply to the cast with a humorous meme.
A winner will be announced the next morning US Eastern Time.
The cycle repeats.
Criteria for a valid submission:
Follow meta-david on Farcaster.
Be a follower of /theblockexp channel.
Optional (would be nice): Recast the cast announcing the contest for that day and give it a like.
Here some friendly tips on how to increase your odds of winning:
The meme is relevant/applicable/uses creatives assets from Codeblade (I acknowledge there is very little out there right now; working on this).
The meme is relevant/applicable to The Blockchain Experience podcast (whether it is a guest or a catchphrase often used on the pod).
It's original.
You're having fun and being a good hooman.
Other than being fun and a good hooman, you do not need to do those things, but they increase your odds!
The prize (and why we're doing it this way):
The daily winner earns 1,000,000 pCodeblade (note the wrapper, that link will explain more what it entails) that will be programmatically airdropped 90 days from winning the contest.
It's being done this way to a) give time for the token to go up and b) incentivize (but not mandate) that if you're a winner with awesome meme skills, you're great at commanding attention and know how to drive awareness of the token & contest. By doing so, you'll essentially be rewarded for your efforts when you receive the airdrop.
Like the last iteration of the contest, random prizes will be sprinkled in, even if you don't win the grand prize, so it's worth shooting your shot!
