'INTUIT' by Olga Fradina:

Released in conjunction with a @galeriemet exhibition in Berlin, 'INTUIT' by Ukrainian generative artist Olga Fradina (@olgaf) opens on fx(hash) on Thurs., Oct. 24.

The series examines automated drawing, which emerged as a tool for Surrealists to free the mind from rational control, allowing unconscious images to surface on paper. Fradina reinterprets automatic drawing in the context of digital art by using generative algorithms to create unique and unpredictable forms that reflect "the flow of thoughts, their fragmentation, and their connection into a new, unexpected whole." During the generation process, Fradina incorporates elements of randomness to mimic the movement of the artist’s hand as it intuitively follows inner impulses.

Automatic drawing can serve as a way to slow down, immerse oneself in the stream of consciousness, and reach a meditative state where the focus shifts from the final outcome to the process of drawing or creating digital visualizations. In this approach, the artist relinquishes control and analysis, trusting her inner impulses and fostering a deeper connection with herself. In the digital realm, this practice takes on new forms through interaction with algorithms that reflect the continuity of movement and internal dialogue.

'Phantasmagoria' by Mazin:

Multimedia artist and glitch art enthusuast Mazin is to release 'Phantasmagoria' on Verse on Tues., Oct. 22. Curated by Ivan Zhyzhkevych, the series of eight unique artworks, blends AI, generative art, data-bending and glitch techniques to craft a purely digital universe of surreal "gothscapes" composed of experimental architectural elements.

Mazin envisions himself as a "realm photojournalist" in this vast, enigmatic world, where every detail reveals its own story.

"In a land overtaken by corruption, purity endures at its roots. Souls persist amid the decay, while majestic structures stand resilient," the artist writes.

'CYMATIC: Patterns of the Pentatonic'

Set to be released in November on fx(hash) after exhibiting in Paris, 'CYMATIC' merges Erika Weitz's photographic craftsmanship with Thomas Noya's generative expertise to create a long-form collection that reimagines Chladni patterns.

In the series, coded light is chemically captured in collodion using historic wet plate photography, a process by which light activates silver on black metal. Pieces curated by Nina Roehrs will be on display from Nov. 7 through 10, with the fx(hash) release to follow.
