If you're reading this - you're the first to know about our new product cooprecs.fun.

We've been referring to this as "Coop Records v2" internally - marking a new chapter for Coop Records and how we distribute music onchain.

Songs are represented by fungible tokens, starting with a presale on a bonding curve and graduating to a pool on Uniswap. We're started with one of the most sentimental and special songs on our catalog - Daniel Allan & Lyrah's hit single "I Just Need."

Keep in mind our beta version is very very bare bones. We're going to be spending the weekend polishing and cleaning up bugs prior to kicking it into overdrive in the coming weeks.

Pair that with 10 new releases today (the most we've ever had in one day) and Coop Records is in the most opportune position we've ever been in.

We're starting to see more inbound demand than we've ever had, and we just finalized a major partnership agreement with one of our favorite record labels to onboard dozens of artists we dreamed of working with.

Our journey is anything but traditional. We started out releasing music on Sound. Then we found out about Boost and Layer3. Then we merged them together on our v1 site. And now - we launching our own protocol and end-to-end product through cooprecs.fun.

All that goes to say - Coop Records will continue to iterate at the cutting edge of onchain music until we find something that breaks through the noise.

2025 is about bringing real people onchain. It's about getting the best artists in the world to give their fans an opportunity to be early to their favorite songs.

We've got our work cut out for us but you better believe we're swinging for the fences.
