Another week in the books - this time filled with more onchain-native artists than usual.
We're stoked to team up with Songcamp founder Matt Chaim on his new single "Citadel" and to upstream Harrison First's gem of a track "Fall". Both of these artists have been releasing music onchain for the better part of 4 years so being able to bring them into our world is something that feels like a true tribute to the early chapters of Music NFTs.
Speaking of onchain pioneers - ROHKI dropped their first episode on Zora this week, currently sitting at 4x of the original mint price. This drop is worth zooming in on because it touches a topic we've been thinking deeply about at Coop Recs - what if all songs had a secondary market?
A few weeks back I made a trip out to Japan to see ROHKI's creation process first hand and its fascinating to think about new IP having a liquid market onchain.
There was a lot of debates about Zora on this week's Late Night Crew (Farcaster's best space hosted on Wednesday nights) but I'm willing to stand on the belief that creating highly accessible, highly liquid secondary markets is the name of the game here.
We've got a lot cooking on this front but rest assured it's one of many projects in the queue.
