At Coop Records - our main bar is quality music.

We believe a big reason the onchain music has yet to see a major inflection point is a lack of consistent, reliable high quality music from emerging artists who are about to break.

This week we brought 4 of those artists from the electronic world onchain in NOTION, MEMBA, ATRIP and MPH. Give any of their Instagram's a quick glance and you'll notice they have something that most of the 2021 wave of onchain music did not - real fans.

The success of Coop Records is entirely dependent on our ability to reach real music fans and get them interested in collecting their favorite songs onchain.

We debuted a new onboarding flow at the Midnight Diner for this exact reason but we still have a ton of work to do.

In our podcast with Andrei from ArtRun we went deep on secondary markets on Zora and a new primitive called artcoins. The best way to think of it is an open edition mint that turns into a liquid, tradable memecoin.

We've been heavily inspired by this model since Zora dropped it 9 weeks ago and ArtRun feels like a really positive step towards more education and tooling on bringing these artcoins to more people.

Safe to say Coop Records is cooking up something special - geared both at real fans, and at appeasing a generation of crypto degens who love to say they got something early.
