The goal here is to create a stronger feedback loop after someone collects a song and earns a token reward. We've noticed that a very high percentage of collectors opt to sell their reward instead of hold it, and this is our first of many efforts to provide a more clear value prop as to why you should hang onto the song tokens that we have such deep care for.
In short - staking song tokens earns COOP - used to vote on which collectibles should be upgraded to new song tokens on cooprecs.fun
We're planning on rewarding stakers in other ways as well, but think about staking as a more passive way to earn COOP on top of collecting and supporting new music on the daily.
Keep in mind - every mint on Coop Records is used to buy back our song tokens and run campaigns on new music and artists joining the fold. We want to create a system where our community recognizes the power of onchain cash flows and our ability to empower the biggest songs in our catalog with programmatic buy-backs.
That's why we're doubling down on Boost v2 - our newest underlying protocol upgrade which allows us to offer more dynamic rewards for collecting. It's currently in it's earliest stages so we're beta testing it with a select few releases on the site before rolling it out across all our campaigns moving forward.
This means being able to claim multiple rewards if you mint multiple editions.
It also means assigning a fixed % back regardless of changing token prices - so buyers can always know what rebate % they're…
