It’s been a wild week, and y’all have been hard at work putting the rates in degenerates with some palpable excitement riding on the coattails of BTC’s new ATH. We’ve never been so back!

THE HAT GOES OMNICHAIN

Using some radical new technology, we’re getting ready to release support for DEGEN on all your favorite networks, whether that’s Base, DEGEN L3, Arbitrum, Optimism, Binance Smart Chain, or even Solana! Get your engines ready, because if that vampire attack on SOL last week was any indication, there’s a lot of pent up demand for DEGEN on other networks and we aim to give the people what they want. That said, we are 100% aligned with calling Base our homebase, and will continue to support our community members and LPs with a primary focus on Base and DEGEN L3.

This particular upgrade will also be accompanied by seamless near-instant bridging, so no more waiting a week to withdraw, you can move your DEGEN everywhere you want to be within a short span of a few blocks. We hope this kind of ubiquity can help position DEGEN as the USDC of memecoins.

DEVGENTLEMEN TOOLS

We’re stoked to finally deliver on some exciting dev tools for the DEGEN L3 community, including a standardized REST and GraphQL API for all your favorite web3 actions, incredibly fast indexes for custom chain queries, best-in-class account abstraction tools to attract new peers who may be less savvy to the ways of elliptic curves and gas estimation, and a dedicated testnet so you don't have to dev in prod.

The rollout of these tools will eventually be followed by our much awaited Airdrop 3 to accelerate growth of the DEGEN L3 ecosystem, granted in the form of gas subsidies and milestone-based grants.

We want to work with all of you to make sure that the L3 is maximally customized for your use cases and especially the farcaster ecosystem, so don’t be shy to ask us for features or precompiled that you want to see. Even if we have to customize our Orbit nitro instances, we will do what we have to to surpass your expectations.

ENTER THE veDEGEN VAULT

We’ve heard you that the existing vault is a bit of a PITA when it comes to estimating your share of the tip pool and optimizing your allocation to keep your DEGEN free to deploy. That’s why we’re developing a new vault with custom staking periods, unique expirations per deposit, eip-4626 yield vault compatibility, and even tip delegation to other accounts.

We may also have a few fun surprises in the pipeline when it comes to the staking NFTs that represent your veDEGEN. We hope we’re building something that the rest of the community can leverage for rewards or easter eggs that use the metadata to create something delightful.

ONCHAIN TIPPING UNCHAINED

Oh yeah, we’re bringing tipping into the decentralized and verifiable world of onchain data availability. You’ll be able to verify your tips in realtime, countdown the escrow period while moderators have a chance to slash bad actors, and receive them directly to a DEGEN L3 wallet with no fuss or additional todo.

Keep your eyes peeled, there may be a protocol involved where anyone on any social network can reserve a tipping namespace and instantly piggy-back on the DEGEN botnet to tip everywhere and anywhere with a simple comment. 👀 👀 👀

THE MEMESTACK WITH A DREAM

We believe that every meme community should have all the same tools as DEGEN to create a kickass and lively community of Degens like you. That’s why we’re building a fast deployment toolchain to give other memecoins all the same bennies of being a Degen without any of the hassle of being a DEGEN dev.

If we’re gonna be the Vegas of blockchains, we gotta make sure that all the brands, entertainment, and tourists know that they can spin up their resort in a heartbeat and have the unforgettable experience of their lives that stays just between them and their memefrens. DEGENNIVERSARY: PUTTIN ON THE RITZ
