Eventually, I'd love to write a memoir, like my Grandfather left behind, so I might as well start pushing out personal chapters. This one is dedicated to my parents, Kristen and David.
My mother is the engine of the family. She takes care of logistics and overall is the go-to person for info about anything. She's my biggest supporter to a point where sometimes makes me delusional about what I can and cannot do by telling me I can do anything I set my mind to. She's the most selfless person I know, to our family and strangers alike. Growing up in the midwest, she's incredibly personable, yet has adapted a Boston mentality where if you do something wrong, she'll let you know! In addition to bringing me into this world, I'm also incredibly grateful for her because she's allowed me to travel the world for my entire life as a lifelong Delta Airlines employee. She also has a way with giving back, by starting my town's thrift store that benefits the public school system.
If my mother's the engine, my father is the hull. He's the one who got me into boating and given me a bunch of wisdom as well. his motto is "Positivity is Key" as he's overcame a few battles with cancer throughout his life and keeps a great attitude even in the face of adversity. His career advice resonates with my work ethic by instilling in me that no matter what you're doing, do it at one hundred and ten percent or don't do it at all. In his line of work, you eat what you kill, and I believe that's a noble mentality to take into any profession. He represents marginalized groups that have been taken advantage of which I believe is a valiant job. He's also pretty funny too.
Love ya both and happy 30th anniversary!
