Feed Me Death???

Cover Art: Your Turn To Leave by Kai (mint link in Enjoymints)

After several weeks of teasing a new feature, I'm pleased to announce that it's not ready yet!!! In the meantime, I want to dive into one of the problem spaces we're exploring: consumption.

Consumption is a fascinating topic. It encompasses collecting behaviors and leads to existential conversations about scarcity, price, and the value of digital assets. It also includes everything before, after, and in the absence of collecting. In other words, we're looking at how people enjoy onchain media.

You know what's not enjoyable? Endlessly scrolling "for me" content feeds filled with stuff I don't like. The obsession with algo-driven feeds is uniquely frustrating. On one hand, these feeds work. We're lazy and happy to doomscroll endlessly. On the other hand, we hate the experience. If we don't already, we'll soon have the same attention spans as goldfish. Any complaint results in a robotic retort about revealed vs. stated preferences, and builders will continue to tell us this is what we want instead of trying to do it better. Thanks.

Worse, the follow-and-like-driven consumption system is ridiculously inefficient. It doesn't result in (the right) consumers enjoying (the right) content and feels like a losing game for creators. The element of timing far too heavily dictates a post's success. Side note: plz stop calling onchain media "posts"*.

If $Enjoy can't power literal enjoyment, what's the point? You can expect us to start shipping more enjoyment-accelerating tech soon.

~ahem~

'For you' via wallet-scanning AI actually makes sense. Discovery+++

*onchain social is good? Well, money is good. The ephemeral framing of "posts" is at odds with collecting onchain assets with evergreen value via automated, liquid secondary markets. I don't want enjoyoors to like my posts, I want them to support my journey and invest in my portfolio. As an avid enjoyoor myself, I feel comfortable betting this is what most enjoyoors want too. Posts are framed ephemerally, and speak to a distribution mechanism rather than the nature of the asset. The blockchain is permanent, aye?

Too real to be satire:

This is a cool (read: useful) feature; all for connecting the disconnected:

Normally I try to mix it up but this week here's a bunch of lens-based art that rips:

Shoot, it's spooky szn already huh :(

Season 3 claims closed yesterday, September 09, but due to upgraded Zora and Splits contracts during the earning period, many of you were missing tips. We're conducting quality checks on the fixed data and will reopen Season 3 claims once those checks are complete.

As a reminder, the Season 4 earning window is open through October 07.

The Enjoyoors Liquidity Rewards program ended September 06. This rewards program applied to the Uniswap V2 pool, which is now obsolete.

To withdraw V2 liquidity via enjoy.tech, first unstake any LP tokens via the 'Stake' tab, then withdraw via the 'Pool' tab. You can add liquidity to the V3 pool directly via Uniswap.

We will migrate our liquidity to Uniswap's V3 .3% pool, and will announce in /enjoy-updates when that's complete.

Until next week (actually, prob later this week)!!!
