Getting Based: A Developer's Homecoming

How Farcaster & FBI is making a coding girl's dream come true

You know that feeling when you finally find your way back home after being lost for what feels like forever? Well, that's exactly how I feel about my coding journey!

It all started a year ago when my boyfriend, who's always been my rock, encouraged me to give coding a shot. He saw something in me that I didn't see in myself – a passion for creating and a knack for coming up with unique ideas.

At first, I was hesitant. Me? A coder? 😅 It seemed like a far-fetched dream. But with his unwavering support, I decided to take the leap.

And you know what they say, "The best way to learn is by doing." So I jumped headfirst into the world of AI, building projects left and right. It was an absolute blast, and I loved every minute of it!

But here's the thing: as much fun as I was having, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. I was creating all these cool things, but I didn't have anyone to share them with or get feedback from. It was like I was on this incredible journey, but I was traveling solo.

Then, a few months ago, my coding adventure took an extraordinary turn when my boyfriend introduced me to Farcaster. And let me tell you, it was love at first sight! 😍The welcoming community and the endless possibilities of permissionless data had me hooked from day one!

I jumped right in, ready to make my mark. I started building something based on an idea Dan had shared, and it felt like I was finally in my element. And then I got into FBI! 😲 (No, not the "freeze, you're under arrest" kind, but Farcaster Builders of India)

The FBI We All Need

Suddenly, I wasn't alone anymore. I had found my people – a fantastic group of builders, innovators, and all-around awesome humans who shared my passion for creating amazing things. Being part of FBI has been a game-changer. I've connected with so many brilliant minds, and together, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible and creating incredible things.

I've been working on some pretty cool projects, like a frame for Poidh.

And an app called Peekfeed that lets you take a sneak peek at any FC user's feed or my latest baby, Hootsuite for Farcaster.

And that's where the Farcaster community and FBI truly shine. They rally behind you, provide invaluable feedback, and lend a helping hand when you're stuck. They even hook you up with credits to keep you building! It's like having a personal cheerleading squad that pushes you to grow and succeed.

I want to give a special shout-out to some of the amazing people who have been instrumental in my journey: Saumya, our incredible FBI Chief who keeps us all in check; Alex from Proxy Studio, who's always ready with a word of encouragement; and Samuel Huber, who's been a constant source of inspiration.

But if I'm being honest, I'm still just starting out on this coding adventure.

So, my fellow builders and dreamers, consider this your official invite to join me on this coding rollercoaster! I'll be sharing my journey, the ups, the downs, and everything in between.

Here's to new beginnings, coding adventures, and the most supportive community a girl could ask for! 🚀
