Paycaster 101

Paycaster is an app that makes sending and receiving tokens securely and efficiently within the Farcaster ecosystem easy. It leverages Warpcast social feed to facilitate transactions. Farcaster users can quickly access the functionality to pay people or swap tokens by tagging @swapbot and @paybot straight in the social feed.

• Paybot: A bot that allows users to pay and request to/from Farcaster users tokens directly in the social feed by simply using a command. Paybot supports over 50 tokens on Base and Degen, including DEGEN, HIGHER, and other farcaster native tokens.

  The commands for sending and requesting payments are simple and easy to recall.

  Paying

  

  • Sending: @paybot 10 usdc

  • Sending to a specific user: @paybot @vitalik.eth 10 usdc

  

  Not everyone is a big fan of commands, so the Paycaster team got Warpcast to integrate the @paybot button, allowing for easy payments.

  Requesting

  

  • Requesting: @paybot request 10 usdc

  • Requesting from a specific user: @paybot @vitalik.eth request 10 usdc

  

  You only pay the transaction fees of the chain you are sending to when you use @paybot (for paying and requesting).

• Swapbot: A trading bot that enables users to buy and sell tokens within the social feed. @swapbot is a trading bot that facilitates token swaps directly in the Farcaster social feed. It uses 0x to handle swaps.

  

  • Buying: @swapbot buy degen

  • Buying a specific amount: @swapbot buy 1000 Degen

  

  • Selling: @swapbot sell degen

  • Selling specific amount: @swapbot sell 1000 Degen

• Transactions and swaps are supported on Base.

• @paybot and @swapbot do not use your daily tip balances, they use real tokens from your wallet for transactions and swaps.

• @swapbot has a 1% transaction fee, with 50% of the fee shared with the person posting the frame.

• @swapbot Button enables quick and secure token trades on Farcaster.

• Users can earn 50% of all trading fees for swaps happening in their frame.

• Both bots can be used across any Farcaster client that supports transaction frames.

Paycaster is continuously evolving. The team is working on the Pay API, an endpoint to check if a Farcaster user has paid you. Future updates would also include support for additional chains and tokens based on user demand and network developments.
