Welcome to the first edition of the Farcaster Weekly Update! We highlight product developments and the builders pushing the Farcaster economy.

Consider this your highest-signal source for all things Farcaster. Some things we’ve been using or that launched this week, along with things you can do to try them out yourself. You too can be early, anon.

1. Clank.fun – the best interface to launch tokens and trade on Base

• Clank.fun really picked up in steam, as the primary place for Farcaster traders to find Clanker-launched tokens.

• It's the first UI built on top of Clanker, the leading Base launchpad where users can launch tokens directly from the feed.

• Clank.fun provides an intuitive way to find trending Clanker-launched tokens and compare their volumes, ownerships, attention, and more.

• 🤔 Nick has created a product that makes it very easy for traders to come to Base and Farcaster. It’s a familiar UI for them, and it demystifies Farcaster and makes it more interesting. Good data point is that 95% of Clank.fun’s traffic comes from X

• Buy a small bag in a token with a creator you like, or where engagement is higher than other tokens at the same market cap.

2. Bankr – AI Trading Companion in the social feed.

• Bankr, built by Deployer, is an autonomous agent enabling users to execute crypto transactions directly from the feed using simple natural language commands e.g. “Hey @Bankr, buy $200 of $TICKER,” and Bankr handles the rest.

• The idea is to have an execution agent that can take care of everything from trades to managing automated strategies like take-profit or stop-loss orders. More about their vision in their manifesto.

• 🤔 The crypto trenches are social - what people care about is who buys and hold, who is behind the project, and so on. It’s interesting that Bankr embeds trading within conversations because it integrates financial activity into the social layer and reinforces this dimension. This behavior, along with more spontaneous token creation on something like Clanker is something that changes the social experience.

3. Anonworld – Anonymous Social Network with ZK-Based Credentials

• Anonworld is an anonymous reddit-style discussion thread where posts are made with zk-based credentials, built by Slokh (the dev behind Anoncast, and previously Nook). You can post anonymously but later claim ownership, and because of zk even the platform owner cannot see who made a post.

• The mechanism is that posting requires at least one credential—currently, an ERC balance, or the ownership of some NFTs like Farcaster OGs. This can be used say to verify that someone making an alpha call, also acted on it and bought the token, while preserving their anonymity. Future plans include gated communities where membership is verified through credentials but without revealing user identities.

• 🤔 It’s a great illustration of the mutually beneficial relationship between apps building on Farcaster and the protocol: It's built on Farcaster on the backend, so top-level posts appear on Farcaster and Anonworld can use replies with its app. It benefits from the virality it can get from Farcaster, and in return contributes quality content to Farcaster users

4. Farcade – Gaming on Farcaster

• Farcade is a gaming platform on Farcaster that brings casual, arcade-style games directly into the feed. The standout game is Geo-crush, a Candy Crush-inspired puzzle game where players match shapes to clear space on the grid.

• The most exciting thing about Farcade is its hypercasual design: anyone can play it. This lowers the barrier for entry, making it a great tool to onboard new users into the Farcaster ecosystem, or to retain the part of the user base that it less interested in crypto-native content.

• 🤔 It showcases the potential of V2 frames: rather than providing a static linear experience, they are fully-fledged web apps that keep state tied to your social profile.

• 🤔 It's another great example of the symbiosis between Farcaster and apps built on top: the application lives in the feed and benefits from the Warpcast distribution and increases the retention of users on the the app. Jake puts it best:

5. Native – Aggregating On-Chain and Off-Chain Identity

• Native Passport aggregates data from various sources on Farcaster and beyond, allowing users to prove they are quality users.

• Passports feature stamps that showcase on-chain activity, such as being an early user of Native, a holder, or a liquidity provider. This functionality will soon expand to include a broader range of activities.

• 🤔 Native is positioning itself as a bridge between different identity systems, which is crucial as Farcaster grows - will let users use on-and off-chain credentials. It can help apps that need quality users find them and target them

1. Veil - privacy pools for verified users

• Veil.cash introduces privacy pools on Base that are exclusively available to verified users. It uses zk-SNARKs to enable private transactions, but with a twist - you need to be verified to participate.

• What makes it special is the verification system: users must provide both their Ethereum address and social credentials (Farcaster ID/Twitter handle) to access the pools. This data is stored on-chain in the validator contract, ensuring users know who they're pooling with.

• 🤔 This is fascinating because it represents a new approach to privacy: instead of anonymous pools open to everyone, Veil creates trusted circles of verified users. It's using social verification (through Farcaster) to make privacy tools more trustworthy and compliance-friendly. The bet is that the future of privacy isn't complete anonymity, but rather privacy within trusted networks.
