Includes: small businesses I love, autumn crafting, a trip on the Kancamagus Highway

I took a hiatus from being online for the last couple weeks because I've been focused on editing my manuscript. It feels good to be back!

Autumn is one of my favorite seasons and I have so many photos that I want to share! ๐Ÿ

My morning routine: I usually make coffee and then head straight outside in my pajamas and sit on the porch. Lately itโ€™s been cool enough to pull on a cozy sweatshirt!

I like to collect fallen leaves every day while the colors are still vivid and press them in between the pages of books.

I used leaves I collected last year and mod podge to make a glass jar lantern! Iโ€™m going to make more of these soon. I think they will be such beautiful decorations for Friendsgiving.

I look forward to wearing these spooky earrings every fall. Over the years I have purchased a few different pairs for for Halloween and Christmas from this artist and the quality is perfect. Here is a link to the Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Amugofmirth

It made me so happy to bring out all the Halloween decor! Pottery Barn sells an adorable ghost pillow every year but unfortunately it's out of my budget, so last year I bought fabric from JoAnn Fabrics and made my own version. ๐Ÿ™‚ I just hand-sewed it, making up the pattern as I went. I used felt for the eyes and the stem of the little pumpkin. I'm really happy with how it turned out ๐Ÿ‘ป

Pulling out all my sweaters! At the beginning of each season I like to do a closet organization day to get a sense of what I have. This helps me avoid overbuying clothes.

I recently ordered stickers and prints from Tsoooki, an illustrator I follow on Instagram. The thoughtfulness and quality of the packaging is incredible and the designs are so cozy! Here is a link to the shop: https://tsoooki.com/

Kancamagus Highway

Earlier in fall we took a day trip to the White Mountains. We drove up the Kancamagus Highway just as the leaves were starting to change color.

We stopped at the Downtown Grill in Wolfeboro, NH for lunch. I ordered the clam chowder and it was delicious! We ate on their patio overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee.

Love it when my bag matches the meal haha ๐Ÿ‹

I posted a vlog about the trip which I'll link below. The cast includes a list of tips if you are planning a similar trip. I hope they are helpful!

Thank you for reading ๐Ÿ‚
