Heroglyphs is growing everyday with more and more forgotten Heroes emerging. Nearly 700 IDs have been minted, with the number of Heroglyphs blocks reaching over 100. The first 100 unique Validators will receive a generative art NFT.
Rocket Pool
Heroes from the Rocket Pool community jumped on Heroglyphs quite early, and provided a ton of insight for other Heroes in the community. Rocket Pool provides a lower barrier to entry, requiring only 8 ETH (plus 2.4 ETH in RPL) for Solo Stakers. As you need to run your own hardware with RP, it’s a perfect alignment with the mission for Heroglyphs.
Due to the RP withdraw credential being a smart contract, all Medals sent there from attestations would not be retrievable. Only the Heroglyphs blocks proposed would return tokens as its tied to the ID. Thanks to support from RP, Heroglyphs was able to add in an API to the protocol which is able to decipher if an attesting Validator is using RP, and direct the Medals to the Validators RP Withdraw Address. Depending on the size of your pool, you will get either 1/2 (16 ETH) or 1/4 (8 ETH) of the regular Medals and token rewards. IDs and Genesis Keys still apply the same way as a full 32 ETH Validator.
If you have been waiting to to join other Heroes with a smaller stake of ETH, now is your opportunity. Plans are in the works to have an X Space/AMA, along with some other co-marketing with Rocket Pool early next week, so have your calendars ready. Details coming soon.
Genesis Token Communities
Each of the initial Genesis tokens were designed for an organic community to form around them, with Heroglyphs providing support where it can. In order to help organize and assemble each of the tokens communities, there are Guild.xyz gated channels in the Heroglyphs Discord, where Genesis Key holders can gain access. This channel can be utilized for these communities to organize and plan where they want to assemble. We’ve seen the Kabosuchan community begin to assemble with a Telegram group and X account. Ultimately each community can use the Discord channel, or take it to other mediums more applicable.
It is also worth noting that Heroglyphs has secured Warpcast/Farcater & Lens handles for each of these communities, in which leaders from each of them could take on admin controls. A Snapshot space has also been set up under Heroglyphs.eth for each community to be used for voting in the future.
Marketplace V1 IDs
We’ve heard some people were looking to buy some single character V1 IDs on Opensea, or other third-party options. As the IDs do not get destroyed when they migrate to V2, you may be purchasing an already migrated ID, which would effectively be rendered useless. Please ensure you do any and all due diligence if you decide to purchasing one, as there is no way for the protocol to check for you. As a best practice, its recommended to create a new V2 ID from the website.
Emissions Update
The emissions schedule for each of the Genesis Tokens has been updated to now be execution based, with a 24hr time bonus. So each time a Validator proposes a block (with correct configuration), the protocol will emit a set amount of tokens, plus a linear time-based bonus capped at 24 hours.
Hope all of you Heroes are navigating your way safely through the network with proposals and attestations. Keep your configurations and uptime dialed in Heroes. Onward.
